These types of visas are available for skilled applicants who are either sponsored by a company to work in Australia or have been sent to Australia to work in a branch office by their overseas company or are eligible to set up their own business or invest in an existing business in Australia.
Employer Sponsored Visa
To be eligible for an employer sponsored visa the applicant is required to have a skilled occupation and have a company who is willing to sponsor them for a position related to the applicant’s skill. This visa is also available for applicants employed by an overseas company who offer them employment in the company’s Australian office.

· Visitor Visa
There are two main categories of visitor visas - short stay and long stay. The short stay visitor visa is for a stay of up to 3 months and the long stay visitor visa is for a period of from 3 to 6 months. In many countries an applicant is able to apply for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) visa. This type of visitor visa can be obtained through travel agents. To be eligible for a visitor visa a person must have a genuine intention to visit Australia - for travel/holiday purposes or to visit family members or friends. The visitor must have adequate funds to support their stay in Australia.
Working Holiday Visa
At present the U.K, Netherlands, Canada, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Japan, Korea, Malta, Germany and Norway have a Working-Holiday Visa Agreement with Australia. Applicants must be under 30 and can work and travel in Australia for a period of up to 1 year.
